The digital "Best-Head" option

by Alan Kelso

The digital "Best-Head" option is included in our more select packages. When we take the posed formal portraits and family groupings, we always take at least two different exposures and, often three or four, to give you a range of facial expressions to choose from. Sometimes people blink in the photograph. Sometimes they smile and other times they have a serious expression.

For example, the bride may be smiling in image number one but not in image number two. The groom is blinking in image number one but looks good in image number two. With the "Best-Head" option, we will, at no extra charge, switch the groom's head from image number two to image number one so that both the bride and the groom look their best.

The larger the group, and especially if some are small children or pets, the harder it is to get everyone looking in the same direction with a pleasing facial expression. This is where the digital "Best-Head" option is really important.
